These intensive Master Classes provide access to advanced Goju Ryu and Bubishi-based instruction beyond the standard dojo curriculum. Each session focuses on application, technical refinement and deeper study through hands-on learning and direct instructor feedback. Designed for serious martial artists, the classes emphasise authentic principles, precision and personal development beyond style or organisational affiliation.

Who can attend the Master Classes?

Master Classes are designed for experienced practitioners, instructors and dedicated martial artists seeking to deepen their knowledge and technical understanding.

Do I need to practise Goju Ryu to attend?

Goju Ryu experience is recommended, but instructors and experienced practitioners from related martial arts systems are welcome to participate in open Master Classes.

How long does each Master Class run?

Each Master Class usually runs for three hours, with breaks incorporated into the session. Alternative durations can also be arranged for private sessions.

Can our dojo arrange a private Master Class?

Yes. Private Master Classes can be arranged for dojo groups and martial arts organisations. Specific topics or areas of interest can also be incorporated into the session by prior arrangement.

Do you offer open Master Classes?

Yes. From time to time, we offer Master Classes that are open to the wider martial arts community. Register your interest through an enquiry or attend a Master Class and you will be added to our private mailing list for future announcements.

Where will the Master Class be held?

Open Master Classes are usually held at our Dojo HQ at Balwyn Community Centre. Private Master Classes can be conducted at your dojo or another suitable location by prior arrangement.

How does pricing work?

Pricing varies according to the class format, duration, location and whether the session is an open class or private dojo booking. Pricing will always be clearly communicated and agreed upon before the Master Class is booked.
